SHE....believes in fairy tales!

I LOVE this layout! It is quite detailed in creation but OH SO worth it! It covers TRIPLE fold as I used Sarah's stamps from Pink By Design and our 'Friday Frills' challenge this week (posting TOMORROW) is themed 'The Birds and the Bees,' all created for my FIRST DT entry for Kristal's Simply Sunday challenge, Pennants and Banners! WOO HOO! I snapped a few photos along the way to give you a tutorial....

Here I am stamping the pennant frame onto the pink to be cut out and places over the scalloped pennant base I stamped onto the paper. I used Cocoa ink from CTMH that matched perfectly!

I adhered each of the cut triangle pieces to each stamped image.

The pennants at the top are stitched. I used the WE R 'Sew Easy' attachments. I sewed the pennants in a mixed thread and then sewed the dark brown across the top for them to hang.

Included in the pennant and banners stamp set from Pink By Design are little circles, dots and buttons. I added small Cocoa dots inside the shape on the paper.

I used a HEADBAND for the fun white piece across the top of the 'SHE' banner.

I created the white flower with folded white chiffon! the 'SHE' is stamped onto the banners (the alphabet is ALSO included in the stamp set). White pearl beads across the top of the pennants and inside the blue Prima flower were PERFECT!

The layered photo mats were sewn on with the sewing machine and I added rhinestones across the pennants and in side the flower!

This is the photo I took that will be placed on this page. I wasn't able to get it printed prior to photographing the project!

The top left corner with the sewn pennants, dots and sewn photo mats.

The bottom left corner with the banner! I also inked around the page with the 'direct to paper' technique!

The bottom right corner. I also tore along the bottom of the photo mat. I really believe it's all of the finer details that 'Make the Page." The sub title is hand written and I added each rhinestone to create a flourish and highlight the writing.

The date is written in pink in the top right corner circle.

And, again, here is the completed layout! I hope you'll consider participating in the challenges with us. You can enjoy the other DT members entires by clicking their name on my side bar to the right. I'll be posting the other creations for 'Friday Frills' TOMORROW so be beack here to enjoy those and be inspired to participagte in our challenge!

Meet Amy!

I'm so stinkin' excited to be on Brynn's Design Team!! What an honor!!I'm Amy McCollum, wife to Brian, the love of my life - He totally gets me!! We'll celebrate our 8th Anniversary in a couple weeks. Mom to little Miss Savannah (Savvy) who will turn 3 in a couple weeks. I ADORE paper, stamps, glitter and ALL things vintage. I'm a Stampin' Up Demonstrator and LOVE it!! I'm also an Aromatherapist and used to own a store (B.K. - Before Kiddo) specializing in bath goodies - totally girly! I still love to make all sorts of delightfully smelling potions as well as get into my craft room and create cards, scrapbook layouts, decor, hair accessories, anything and everything crafty. Thanks Brynn for the opportunity to show my craftiness. My blog: www.smoochesstampin.blogspot.com

My silly project is of my sugaroo Savannah making 'smooch lips' (like mother, like daughter). Every time I see this pic it makes me giggle. So I combined it with some fun, bright layers of paper, border punched the heck out of 'em and made a mini layout that is so going on my fridge!Smooches, Amy

Amy resides here in the Albuquerque area with me-fortunately just a few minutes away! (I like to go sit by her-hoping the creativity will rub off-ya know?!) She is one of THE most talented people I have ever met and I know how blessed I am to have her here designing for Friday Frills. She is compassionate (with an emphasis on passion) and out going, always loving life. Be sure to visit her blog and help me welcome her!

I'll introduce Altaira on Monday!

Meet Kris!

Hello everyone,I feel very honored to be asked to be on this design team with many fabulous ladies.

I have been married for almost 22 years to a great man. We have 2 children, our daughter Ashley is in culinary school and out son TJ who is in high school and is on the school and competitive cheer team.

I work part time as a RN in a pediatric office, which I LOVE! When I’m not working and driving my son around I enjoy scrapbooking and making cards. I haven’t been scrapbooking in a while and I’m way behind. I make cards with my Cricut and stamping, I always love to try new things when I craft.

I hope in some way my projects will inspire you.

Have a great day!Kris

What a fun project! I LOVE the feathers and the 'Red Hatters' FEEL to it! And, don't you just LOVE the sentiment?! ;)

Kris is also from the Chicago area and we met at the same place, the Cricut Circle Swarm in Utah. She and I talk several times a week and I love that she began her blog to accept the online challenges and participate in them! She is kind, with a warm smile. I am just delighted that she will join us here as we begin these amazing challenges! Thank you Kris. I know you'll be a great addition to the team!

Be sure to visit her blog and say hello!

I'll introduce Amy on Friday!

Meet Jenny!

My project is a shaped card using Life Is A Party - A little Monkey just Monkeying Around!

I am 45 years YOUNG!!! That is because of my 3 wonderful kids, 2 girls 24 and 18, and 1 boy 8. I have a fantastic husband who is seriously the love of my life. I am a Christian saved by Grace alone. I live in a suburb of Chicago and we have one furry baby, a chocolate lab named Harley. I have been crafting for 4 years and always feel behind since I only discovered this seriously addicting hobby (LOL) just a short time ago. A friend of mine introduced me to scrapbooking and then I discovered the on-line community and got into card making as well. I currently have a Create, 2 expressions, 2 cuttlebugs and an Imagine. I have about 130 cartridges all together and I am a true paper hoarder.

XXOO Jenny

To introduce themselves, I asked the design team members to create something silly. After all, we are beginning this journey on April Fool's Day! LOL

Jenny joins the Friday Frills design team as one of my 2 BFF's from Illinois! We met at the first Cricut Circle Swarm in Utah, 2010. She is sweet, with a great sense of humor and great to be around. Please help me welcome her with CHEER and say hello from here on her blog too! I'm SO glad you're here with us Jenny. Thank you for joining and supporting me in this creative endeavour!

I will introduce Kris on Wednesday. Be here to meet her!
