My Pink Stamper?!

Hey there Fabulous Friends of Flair and Frills! I am so excited to apply for the My Pink Stamper Design Team with Robyn! WOOT WOOT! I have NEVER tried before and you know how I NEED to be on a stamp DT!! I think I've got a good shot-do you?! There sure are a LOT of talented women these days so if the Lord sees that it's not my time, I'll be ok with that because it really is fun to apply and I have a FABULOUS project from it, oh-and Robyn/Karlee is here on MY BLOG to see it!!! This is my entry. It's a layout with photos of the other middle sister Brandis and myself. The challenge was to make a newly created project using your favorite Cricut cartridge and the colors Orange, Turquoise, Green and Brown, plus an additional color of your choice. I added cream and used the 'Cindy Loo' cartridge. My favorite cartridge really depends on what I'm creating, but the cartridges I find I love the most are those with the most versatility-like this one! It has super adorable images, a font feature, alphabet, frames AND borders! Can you guess which features I used?!

Aren't these deer just darling?! I couldn't help but play on the words! There are 3 layers for each of them and I used the flip feature on my Cricut for the partner. I dry embossed the middle layer with the Brocade embossing folder from Provo Craft and the eyes are accented with a white gel pen, as are the letters and flowers.

The outside trim is dry embossed as well and I sewed along the inside edge of the background doily piece. It is placed over a striped paper from My Minds Eye's Stella Rose Collection in 'Hattie'. The cream satin ribbon seemed just the right touch for softness with a double layered bow to accent.

Here again you see the hand drawn accents with my white gel pen and of course I HAD to work in one of the MPS sets! I used the 'Love-alicious' stamps for this sub-title by cutting them apart to go side by side for this banner. Can you see that all of the cream flowers in the doily are dry embossed with the brocade folder too?! This photo shows some of the stitching along the border as well. You know how I LOVE attention to detail!

This is the main photo of the 2 of us accented with various pearls in the bottom right corner. I wrote the date with a brown permanent marker just inside the loop of the frame. It didn't really require any additional journaling.

And again, the completed layout for my submission! It was a lot of work, but anything worth doing well usually is, right?! I hope you've enjoyed stopping by today. Looking ahead this week will be Christmas in July with BLOG CANDY! {HUGS}

SHE....believes in fairy tales!

I LOVE this layout! It is quite detailed in creation but OH SO worth it! It covers TRIPLE fold as I used Sarah's stamps from Pink By Design and our 'Friday Frills' challenge this week (posting TOMORROW) is themed 'The Birds and the Bees,' all created for my FIRST DT entry for Kristal's Simply Sunday challenge, Pennants and Banners! WOO HOO! I snapped a few photos along the way to give you a tutorial....

Here I am stamping the pennant frame onto the pink to be cut out and places over the scalloped pennant base I stamped onto the paper. I used Cocoa ink from CTMH that matched perfectly!

I adhered each of the cut triangle pieces to each stamped image.

The pennants at the top are stitched. I used the WE R 'Sew Easy' attachments. I sewed the pennants in a mixed thread and then sewed the dark brown across the top for them to hang.

Included in the pennant and banners stamp set from Pink By Design are little circles, dots and buttons. I added small Cocoa dots inside the shape on the paper.

I used a HEADBAND for the fun white piece across the top of the 'SHE' banner.

I created the white flower with folded white chiffon! the 'SHE' is stamped onto the banners (the alphabet is ALSO included in the stamp set). White pearl beads across the top of the pennants and inside the blue Prima flower were PERFECT!

The layered photo mats were sewn on with the sewing machine and I added rhinestones across the pennants and in side the flower!

This is the photo I took that will be placed on this page. I wasn't able to get it printed prior to photographing the project!

The top left corner with the sewn pennants, dots and sewn photo mats.

The bottom left corner with the banner! I also inked around the page with the 'direct to paper' technique!

The bottom right corner. I also tore along the bottom of the photo mat. I really believe it's all of the finer details that 'Make the Page." The sub title is hand written and I added each rhinestone to create a flourish and highlight the writing.

The date is written in pink in the top right corner circle.

And, again, here is the completed layout! I hope you'll consider participating in the challenges with us. You can enjoy the other DT members entires by clicking their name on my side bar to the right. I'll be posting the other creations for 'Friday Frills' TOMORROW so be beack here to enjoy those and be inspired to participagte in our challenge!

MPS National Scrapbook Day Challenges!

I've really enjoyed feeling the CHALLENGE of the My Pink Stamper National Scrapbook Day celebrations! So far I have completed 6 projects to participate. That's half-and I hope it's enough to win the IMAGINE! I NEED IT! :D Click on her name above if you'd like to take part. Each challenge has it's OWN prize too! It all ends tonight at 10pm Central time! Best wishes. Here are my remaining projects to enter:

MPS Challenge #10-Make a layout or card with a pen in it!

I LOVE what this layout became. I used the Quick Quotes May Club Q and it began as a card wanting to use the 'SPRING' included with the little ladybugs. Then it became a layout because I needed more room. I sprayed it ALL with home-made Shimmer Spray and intended to use it for another challenge but since I'd already used the pen around the letters-it fits perfectly for THIS challenge! (And then I had another excuse to create more and made the other layout below). I added plain seam binding to tire-everything else was included!

MPS challenge #7Make a Scrapbook Page!

I love this 'Damsel in Distress' line from Quick Quotes. It is SO versatile! I created this page of my baby, Eli. A ruffled satin ribbon adds softness and I sewed across the bottom for extra detail. It is a simple layout but I LOVE the outcome!

Challenge #3-add a #D item on your scrapbook page or card!

I used Quick Quotes 'Playground' line for this cheery card. The 'you' is cut with the 'Baby Steps' Cricut cartridge.

The 'just Because' is from the 'Pop-up Cards' cartridge. So fun!

MPS Challenge #9-Use Glitz, Glitter and Glam in your project!

Right up my alley girls! I used the Club Q kit for May from Quick Quotes.

The Glitz is is a sparkly sheen sprayed across the entire card with home-made shimmer mist. The Glitter is around the flower, highlighting the sentiment 'hi' and bordering the card and the Glam is the chunky pearl brad center for the lower!

While you're here I hope you'll look around a bit and be inspired. I'd love for you to follow me and I have giveaways going on too! XOXO
