SU! Blog Hop!

Is there anything better than a Stampin' Up Blog Hop with some of the best demonstrators around??  Yea....no.  Somehow, God shined down to decide that I get to be a part of it!!!  WHAAAT?!  YAY!  This is an open ended Blog Hop with different demonstrators featured each week.  How Fun!

You're hopping here from the FABULOUS Lisa Presto.  I hope you clicked the "follow" button when you stopped there.  That lady is genuine, talented, and beautiful from the inside out!

I'm going to share a Valentine with you.  Actually two.  I created this for my Hostess Club and was fascinated with what a difference your choice of Designer Series Paper can make.  Take a look....

I just HAD to use the XOXO paper from the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack.  I love following all of their color combinations.  I was going to need more, so I tried it with the dots, and it TOTALLY WORKS!  They're both fun.  Which is your favorite??  Leave a comment below and share my blog on your Facebook page to be entered to win the BLOG CANDY I'm giving away below!  Mention that you're a follower here and I'll add in a handmade gift from me when you win!!

Do you just LOVE this Snuggles and Smooches stamp set??  You can purchase it for yourself, as well as the paper stack, through my website HERE. All right, it will be time to hop along after you've had some time to look through here!  The one and only PJ will be your next stop.  Enjoy, and thanks for participating! XO

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

We've made it to HALLOWEEN! WOW-hasn't it just been a BLAST?! Thank you SO much for joining us as we hop along and countdown! (click HERE to be taken to Lisa Peter's Blog to begin) I will choose a winner for the TRICK-or-TREAT BAZZILL Bag (pictured below) this evening-so be sure you are a FABULOUS FRIEND (follower) and leave comments at each post, they're each an entry!

My daughter received this card from her Aunt Chrissy (my best friend and her God-mother) and I loved it! Of course I did really, it's Close To My Heart. I happen to have gotten this stamp set and yet yet to use it too-so I was extra inspired.

I created this one, once again using the AMAZING products from BAZZILL, particularly their SPOOKY and KOOKY line. *Note that ALL of the projects I've created from them this ENTIRE month are from the SAME original supplies I was sent* I switched around a few things, but you can see where the inspiration came from. I just ADORE these sweet owls and jumped on the opportunity to use the delightful crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl Jam again! Don't you just LOVE the pleats too?! SOOOO FABULOUS, BAZZILL!

This card is also inspired from Chrissy's original-and HOW PERFECT is the witchy shoe paper?! CA-UTE! I may go back and color her striped tights-I over looked it. I added a BAZZILL 'edge'-and what do you think of the PIPE CLEANERS?! They were sitting there from the Kinder project-so they wound up on my card. I'm that girl-the one who uses whatever is within reach, even if it was just left on the kitchen island! ;) Sometimes I forget how much I LOVE stamping, especially Close To My Heart (I 'm a consultant for them). This was a Stamp-of-the-Month. FABULOUS!

This sweet little guy is an individually wrapped candy holding mummy box! I used actual Curad gauze and cut t to wrap. It was tied at the bottom and then inked up. I really enjoy googley-eyes, so I was excited to tuck them in here for him to see ;)

This is the box, opened up to reveal the Hershey nuggets. The EEK is stamped from an SU set designed just for these. The remaining three are wrapped from SPOOKY and KOOKY BAZZILL scraps.

I used a $1 stamp for the sentiment on the inside bottom of the box. You know I'm all about detail, so I like this little surprise there to be found as you eat the candy!

You may have noticed some of the background-it's a garland I was working on for Halloween. I want to add some die-cuts and some of the BAZZILL cardstock stickers to it and then hang it over my fireplace, NEXT Halloween!

I must tell you again that I'm really grateful for each of you that take the time to share in these hops and comment. I hope you've been inspired by the talented designers I'm honored to be among. Speaking of......I'm featured on the BAZZILL Blog today, amongst some unbelievable scrapbook SUPERSTARS like Kelly Goree, Mona, Amy Totty and MORE! Take the time to browse through there too-it's always so inspiring! You can hop along now to the Scraps to Treasure blog as we end the countdown. Technically, Raven's Birthday Hop ended yesterday, but it was chalk FULL of fun projects so if you missed it, be sure to hop through (your entry will still be eligible for MY giveaway until).

You have until 5:00pm Mountain Time TODAY to enter to win this TRICK-or-TREAT BAZZILL BAG! Each comment from the beginning of the countdown will be an entry. I really wish you a very HAPPY HALLOWEEN full of candy, fun and WICKED memories! MWAH!

13 Days of HALLOWEEN-Day 3!

When we moved from Kansas my BFF threw a surprise going away party for me. It was FABULOUS and since we started scrapbooking together-she recognized the importance of documentation and printed out cards for each of my guests to fill out, stating what they would miss most about me. My sister Brandis (and best friend) wrote....my GRILLED CHEESE! Yep-my combination of Texas Toast bread and Velveeta make my Signature sandwich the BEST around. So, when she recently visited, not only did I need to make them for her-I wanted to make them special for Halloween for my sweet nephews too. Alas-the JACK-O-LANTERN Grilled Cheese Sandwich!!!

I hand cut faces into the bread, AFTER buttering it, and then toasted then slowly. The cheese oozed into the cuts (now THAT sounds Halloween GROSS-lol) to darken in the faces creating a PERFECT and festive lunch! YUM!

Remember that this hop takes place EVERY day for the 13 days leading up to Halloween. Lisa Peters is our lovely hostess and you can start at her blog anytime. You can also catch up anytime to be eligible for the generous and FABULOUS prizes available too. You should arrive at my blog from my friend Amy's Blog each time and then hop on to Scraps to Treasures as well. You can click on any of their names to be taken to their blogs. My personal BLOG CANDY is a No tricks-just TREATS goodie bag filled with SPOOKY AND KOOKY AMAZEMENT from one of the absolute BEST manufacturer's around....BAZZILL! SO be sure you're following and commenting along with us on this SPOOKTACKULAR Blog Hop!

A couple of white ovals make the eye bases with cute black button eyeballs! I stole 2 actual screws from my scrubby's (scrapbook-hubby) tool box to accent the sides and added a couple layers of Liquid Glass to his randomly0hand cut hair for fun. He's also grunged up a bit with some black ink along the edges, because it's all about the details!

I decided to make my card with a square base and used the UBER FABULOUS BAZZILL (that I'm OH-SO-IN-LOVE-WITH), accenting in purple with some more of that SCRUMPTIOUS crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl Jam (that hop is also ongoing through Saturday for many chances to win some bundles-see my previous post).

Breast Cancer Awareness Blog Hop!

Hi there-and welcome to our Breast Cancer Awareness Blog Hop. We'd like to bring attention to this disease that can usually be cured if caught and treated in time. Most all of us know someone affected and through this fun, P-I-N-K Blog Hop we can spread the support for so many women. It is dedicated to my cherished friends Bonnie and Terri who are still struggling with their afflicition. If you need to begin at the beginning, please click HERE to be taken to the lovely Denise's blog. You should be arriving here from Jearise's blog and there's LOTS of BLOG CANDY along the way including THREE sponsors!

The page I'm sharing with you today is 5 years old so not my current style, but SO SPECIAL that I had to take the opportunity to share it with you. Our LSS was selling 'Page for the Pink' kits with these brown and pink papers and encouraged each person that purchased one to return the created page to be on display at the Susan G. Koman Race for the Cure. I felt compelled to purchase one though at the time I knew NO ONE afflicted or affected by the disease. I searched the internet and found the photo shown and journaled about how it touched my heart and why I chose it and returned my page to the store upon completion. A few weeks following the race the coordinator inquired to the store as to who had made this particular page. Apparently, at the race, she happened upon an elderly gentleman weeping in front of my layout. You see, this was his wife who had JUST succumb to the disease and he was so deeply moved by my page that he requested a copy! I still get chills when I think of this and the AMAZINGLY divine things our God does! Needless to say, I'm the one with the copy and I proudly gave him the original. Whenever I get lost in a crafty funk and lose purpose, I always return to this story and the true essence of what we do as scrapbookers.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Remember that when you're completely finished with the hop you'll want to return to Denise's Blog and let her know which project was your favorite. You'll want to be sure to become a follower of each blog and leave a comment there too. Your next stop is with Charity. Click HERE to continue along this delightful journey with us and be taken there. I wish you many blessings my dear friends!

50 States Blog Hop-New Mexico!

(All of the hop details are following the photos, below and my AWESOME BLOG CANDY-Cricut EVENTS Cartridge is last)

This is a 2 page layout about New Mexico, where I currently reside after leaving Kansas 3 years ago.

I hand made this chili-ristra, a symbol of good luck here when hanging in your doorway.

The kokopelii symbol is thought to increase fertility and is prominent here. I hand beaded the die-cot pot and tied leather around the main photo mats to further add to the southwest theme.

I just LOVE this little Roadrunner stamp! It is the state bird and they run around here during the warmer weather. I was SO excited the first time I saw one! This coyote/cactus stamp is embossed in gold, also 2 things quite prominent around here (the coyote and cactus-not the gold)! I love the state map paper I found to use-I tore it in half across the width and added a sheet to each side. It all cam together really nicely and portrays the desert, warm in both the weather AND the colors!

Welcome to the 50 States Blog Hop!!
