The time has come! You should be arriving from Kim's blog http://rickettscricuts.blogspot.com/Today, I will be exploring the waterfall technique with you. It allows for a greater number of elements in a smaller amount of space, with a super fun interactive twist!
Depending on the size of the items you'll be using, your base strip will vary in both length and width. My poker chips are around 1" so each of my scored cardstock squares are 3/4" We don't want the strip to be showing.I trimmed the corners since my items are round.
Apply the items from the last to the first. So, I am progressing BACKWARDS from the $100 chip to the $5 chip, adding on at each scored mark.
The length of the strip needs to be DOUBLE the total length of all the elements, PLUS a bit to 'PULL' and a bit to 'secure' beside the flipping pieces. I.E. Measuring my poker chips here, laid out, they are about 4.5" So the total length is 9" PLUS 2 to work with to pull, and notice about 1.5" to the right of my $100 chip that we'll use soon.

Add the fun 'suite' trim for detail!
I have added a matching cardstock piece about 1/4" wide and 1/4" long on either side of our base strip. IT is now glued (centered) flush with the far right edge that we left.

The flip side. IMPORTANT-add dimensional foam on each side so that it is elevated for the underside to slide.
Now, it is attached, by the foam squares ONLY. The 'pull' area remains to the right.
I have now trimmed the area to fit on my card and added the 3'D dice (die) to 'PULL"
The cardstock sticker 'Show Me the $' is placed on the inside strip to be revealed when the die is pulled, as the poker chips flip!
It's like you can HEAR the chips stacking! LOVE IT!

Plenty of 'white space' left for writing out a fun message to your favorite Casino fan!
This is the finished card! It is still fairly flat, but I'd add $.60 postage just to be sure! My video shows the card in action!I LOVE scrapbooking, so I HAD to use this technique for a layout!

I kept this layout fairly simple, showcasing this fun waterfall and not my typical shabby-chic style!
I sprayed the paper flowers with Chalkboard Glimmer Mist to co-ordinate with my colors.

You pull the layered flower piece on the right for movement.

I plan to use this technique to create the page of my youngest baby learning to walk! It will be FABULOUS! Remember that this can be used from either direction, though both of mine are shown pulling from the right.
