50 States Blog Hop-New Mexico!

This is a 2 page layout about New Mexico, where I currently reside after leaving Kansas 3 years ago.

I hand made this chili-ristra, a symbol of good luck here when hanging in your doorway.









The kokopelii symbol is thought to increase fertility and is prominent here. I hand beaded the die-cot pot and tied leather around the main photo mats to further add to the southwest theme.


I just LOVE this little Roadrunner stamp! It is the state bird and they run around here during the warmer weather. I was SO excited the first time I saw one! This coyote/cactus stamp is embossed in gold, also 2 things quite prominent around here (the coyote and cactus-not the gold)! I love the state map paper I found to use-I tore it in half across the width and added a sheet to each side. It all cam together really nicely and portrays the desert, warm in both the weather AND the colors!
