May Day Preparations (and a contest that ends TODAY)!

Hey there!

As you may know, I am a Cricut Circle Member (VIP Charter in fact)! With that comes the opportunity for different challenges. For the month of April the challenge is to: Create a project of your choice and reuse, recycle or repurpose 3 items on your creation. Project must include at least 2 different Cricut Image Cuts. Because I work FABULOUS under pressure-I usually enter things close to the deadline (which now happens to be in a few hours). It also may have a bit to do with the fact that I am impatient-and I don't want to wait a month to know if I win! LOL Now, these challenges are NOT judges (unfortunately). So, because it is random, I also let my sweet 7-year-old daughter help!

May day is tomorrow (And I'm preparing the EXCITING launch of the Quick Quotes Blog). I thought it might be fun to challenge you! Can you spot the REPURPOSED, REUSED and/or RECYCLED items here (contents excluded) (hint: 4)? And the Cricut cuts?! Leave your answer in my comments and I will randomly choose 1 person to win a QQ prize package! YAY! BONUS: Tell me the cartridges the cuts were made from and you automatically win a little something! AND-if you go share this post on YOUR blog and FB you'll be entered twice even if you're WRONG! How's that for FUN?! Fine Print: You must be a follower to be eligible for this contest!

Of course, I stocked our May Day Basket with what I would want on MY door! LOL

This is a close-up. Aubrey wrote the sentiment, as this is hers to give!

Hurry-contest ends at midnight Mountain Time!

See you tomorrow with a QQ sneak-peek! MWAH

My Special Pet!

Scrapbook Trends call for Pet layouts inspired me to snap a few photos and scrapbook my little puppy! I used a sketch from Frosted Designs and I'll upload it there too!

All of the papers and embellishments are from Bazzill and I used the Mickey Font Cricut Cartridge.

Journaling with a black sharpie and white pen!

Smooch ink and flicked white paint!

With more blessing, I'll have to remove this layout to be published! :D MWAH

Sharing Quick Quotes with Jenny!

I am SO excited to be featured on the Crazy About Cricut blog! Jenny is such an amazing person, inside and out. It is truly an honor to coordinate with her and be here with you today! Thank you.

Since the Quick Quotes blog will be debuting in a week, I decided I would share 2 layouts I've recently created using a beautiful new line from Quick Quotes Scrapbook Company called 'Damsel in Distress.'

The die-cut chipboard, flowers, gems and clear embellishments are carried by them as well.

This one features my kiddos. I used more of the patterned paper die-cuts and clear butterflies. I love that this paper line is so versatile and free.

I will be back soon to post my project created for Crazy About Cricut AND I'll announce the new Quick Quotes Design Team members too (if you want a sneak peak, they are posted on FB)!

TOADALLY FROGS BLOG HOP!

RIBBIT! It's NOT the bunny hopping around here today!

Thanks for joining me in the TOADALLY FROGS Blog Hop brought to you by Karel J! If you're not here from Monica at Scraps To Treasures, you can start at the beginning by clicking HERE.

This card was a lot of fun to make using the Bazzill 'Grandma's Feathr Bed' line and a few of their goodies. The hardest part was deciding which frog to cut! I chose this quirky one from the 'Sweethearts' cartridge. Pink By Design's 'Hippity, Hoppity, Happy' stamp was PERFECT for the sentiment! I used the seam of a yellow shirt for the middle and finished with a bit of home-made shimmer spray!

For my BLOG CANDY today, I am offering a prize package from the uber awesome Quick Quotes Scrapbook Company. They have some great new lines and embellishments out and I'll get ya some goodies if you follow me and leave a comment here (as always, you receive double the chance if you also have my blinky), telling me your funny frog story (we've all got one)! (I often forget to photo my candy, but rest assured, IT IS GOOD)! I'll choose a winner and announce it here on Monday morning.

Now it's time for you to CROAK along to Kristel's (but come back by anytime)!

Enjoy-and have a HIPPITY, HOPPITY, HAPPY DAY!

GORGEOUS for Creating Keepsakes

When Creating Keepsakes posted on FB that they extaended their'Fabric Layouts' deadline-I decided I'd create and submit! The fabric I had was PERFECT for these NEW Teresa Collins papers! L-O-V-E! This is my FAVORITE color combination of ALL TIME!

I used a silver metallic in the background and to accent. Pink satin is ruffled across and black sparkly tulle with white lace appears here and there too! :D

Tuesday, May 17th. I LOVE this layout! As I type this, Amy and I (pictured here with me) are struggling in our friendship :( This paper was pretty much made for me by TC whom I ADORE and it turned out, well-GORGEOUS! Link-up friends, please also go to the 'home' tab and look around while you're here. Consider following me too! It's so nice to hear from you and discover new blogs! Thanks Kristal! I LOVE your link-up parties, and your sweet soul!

MWAH!

Easter Cards Cont'd:

I love this one JUST as much-it's just SO cute! Right?! That's the envelope in the middle. I HAVE to have coordinating envelopes-it's my thing! :D Here's a close-up! The Hoppity Happy stamp is from Pink by Design. I just ADORE this. My friend Linda at the store had used this cut on a card-so I bought the card, dis-assembled it and created my own for our class! It's all hand cut, except for the tab punch, that SU. Please see my previous post regarding the 1st Eater card, how YOU can receive this card in YOUR mailbox, and my update to Friday Frills. Happy-HOPPITY-Sunday! I entered thisone in Patches of Pink. You MUST check out her blog, and please vote for me while you're there (beginning Monday)! mwah1

Easter Cards! Sent to YOU?!

Good Sunday Morning to you! I just have to share what might be my FAVORITE 2 Easter cards EVER! I designed these and created them with my private group at Scraps Galore. I am linking them to Patches of Pink too! I've been looking forward to participating with her-such a fabulous blog and idea! This 1st is my favorite....it says, "Stop and Smell the Jelly Beans!" from a delightful Scrappy Moms stamp set. The envelope is peaking out there between the cards. It says, "a little birdie told me...." from Pink By Design! The banner sparkles from Stickles, a few polka dots too. I used a border punch at the bottom of the grass-just for a bit more flair. The BEST part?! The little chick has an action wobbler behind him (a little spring) so he shakes and moves! GRRR_My post messed up. I'll share the close runner up in 2nd place in a separate post. *NOTE* I have added the link to 'Subscribe' on the right side bar. If you LOVE this blog and take the time to do so you may just receive one of these 2 cards from me in the mail! Yep-I'll randomly choose 5 of my faithful followers to have one of these cards in their (YOUR) hands! YAY! I can't wait! I {HEART} you all SO very much! P.S. I had family tragedy to attend to and did not post the 2nd Friday Frills challenge or the winners from week 1. I should have that done by tomorrow. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Aubrey's 7th Birthday!

My daughter turned S-E-V-E-N on Monday. Although I'm not usually so personal here-I had to share because I created for it! :D It was a 'Tangled' pajama party and it went off without a hitch! This is her with her BOYFRIEND! He bought her a dozen roses! HE even picked them out himself! AHHHH! What am I in for?! These are the fabulous water bottles each guest received, with their gourmet popcorn. I love the 'blowing out the candles' photos! Priceless! As one of the activities each guest made3 their own gourmet popcorn. We made it and then they chose from TONS of add-ins to their delight! (Skittles, marshmallows, peanuts, M&M's, etc.) I added a necklace with a wand, silly straw and Pixie Sticks out the top of the bag, then tied it up with a pretty co-ordinating ribbon and slid a big GLAM ring onto the straw! Thanks for being here with me today. I'm planning something BIG for my 30th Birthday (happening in June). It's my GOLDEN YEAR, turning 30 on the 30th. It's a BIG deal and the celebrating will begin soon, so keep watchin'. I LOVE and cherish each comment you take the time to write me. Thank you. Scroll down to enter the Friday Frills challenge!
