This day of the Blog Hop is bitter sweet for me. My baby sister called last night to tell me that her friend at work's 6 month old baby passed away while at his babysitters. No human being should have to endure such a loss with the feelings that must accompany a tragedy of that magnitude. May you all give your own babies an extra kiss today and say a special prayer that you can wrap your loving arms around them for one more night and include their family in that prayer as well.
I hope you're enjoying this sweet snuggle-y blog hop! There's so much baby goodness around! Remember that you can start at the beginning anytime through Emily's Blog. If you are hopping along, you should arrive at my blog from Libby's!
This is one of the simplest layouts I've ever done, but profound none the less. I happened to capture this special photo of my little girl with my husband's best old friend-our dog Haan.
I added a cut out flower with beads in between and then stamped each of their names and a flourish! The papers are from Piggy Tales and this layout is one that began my scrapbook career as an instructor. I hope you enjoy it! Today is your second chance to enter for my blog candy (insert AHHH-I forgot the photo)! Be sure that you're a FABULOUS FRIEND (Follower) of mine and leave a comment on each post of the hop to earn a maximum of three entries! Tomorrow is our last day- I look forward to seeing you again then! ;)
Super cute lo!

I read your post and was touched about you sister's friend because my mother just attended her friend's 17month old grandaughter's funeral for having passing in similar manner, suddenly and unexpectedly - your LO captured that loving feeling with just a touch of melancholy.. beautifully done. Please relay my condolences and prayers for comfort and thank you for sharing

I am so terribly sorry to hear of the loss of any child but a baby? I don't even know what to say other than my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I can't even bear to think.... On a happier note, I LOVE THIS LO... I can't think of just one thing that's my fav because I love all of it!TFS! I am a follower and a fan and would be honored if you would check out my blog and do the same if you already haven't at http://acreativejourneywithmelissa@blogspot.com Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteI came back for day 3 and am not sure what to do. so here is my post. I still love the LO and am very sorry about the death of a child. I hope that although they will never accept it totally that they learn to cope someway. It is said that there is a reason for everything even if its not obvious I just hope that God shows them His plan quickly. ydixon57@verizon.net
