Back to School Blog Hop!

Are YOU ready to get those children BACK TO SCHOOL?! Personally I will REALLY miss mine for all of those hours, and I know the baby will too. But-I'm excited for the school year, their education and everything that brings! Shawnee has put together this fun Back to School Blog Hop to help us feel inspired and excited for the 2011-2012 school year! If you need to start at the beginning, please click her name to be taken to her post and begin. You should be arriving at my post from Veronica's blog.

Have you seen those fun cards with the neat folds that pup in and out when you open them?! Well I've got one for ya-with crayons too! This is the front of the card, how it looks when it's folded up and coming out of the envelope. (insert-DARN,I forgot to take a picture of the coordinating stamped envelope-here)! I have these super fun little twist-ties that are school themed I thought would be cute tied around a couple of crayons. The blue one says my teacher and the red one says school days. I stamped the sweet little book worm and then added glossy accents to his eyes.

This is the card opened, showing the fun dimension of the folds. The paper is from Close To My Heart.

Here are more of the card details with the I heart school, scissor and a is for apple stamps. It was fairly easy to create and delightful to stamp and embellish! I'll share a tutorial on this fold coming up soon. For now, it's time to hop along to Carla's blog for your next school project. If you're not already a Fabulous Friend (follower) here, I would LOVE for you to be. All followers who leave a comment on this blog post will be eligible for some BLOG CANDY of a different kind. I will donate school supplies in your name to a local school here in the Albuquerque area (AND I'll mail you some fun printed twist-ties)! (Winner will be chosen randomly and announced on the 14th). I wish you all a very successful and blessed school year! MWAH!

  5. Beautiful card. I love cards that include a little something extra. It is great that you will be donating school supplies to your blog hop winner. It costs a fortune to stock up on supplies every year.

  21. Your card is way tooo cute! I haven't tried one of these cards yet, but will have to give it a try. That worm is to dye for! I like the idea of donating school supplies, wouldn't happen to be near Pajarito Elementary or Polk Junior High. I used to go to school there many, many years ago. Even if I don't win I would like to donate. Glad to blogging with you and sharing ideas. I am a follower and glad to be one.
