School's Out For Summer!

And I will have that song stuck in my head for DAYS! LOL

Good Morning friends-and welcome to the 'School;s Out For Summer' blog hop brought to you by the lovely Jessica! Thank you Jessica, for providing us this fun opportunity to create and share! You can begin at Jessica's blog and should then arrive here in line from Julie Ranae.

For my school inspired project, I created this fun and elegant TEACHER GIFT! Beginning with a black frame, I used Quick Quotes Savvy Davvy line and this month's Club Q. I inked the layered papers in Midnight Confession Powderpuff Chalk Ink to bring in a bit more of the color.

This fun banner is made with an alphabet stamp set from CTMH and the sun burst that comes in the Club Q kit. A bit of yellow Divine Twine added the perfect touch!

When I checked the mail today and discovered my FIRST SET of K. Andrews NEW STAMPS, I knew I had to include them. This particular set is called 'Positive Thoughts' and it is just DIVINE (and also, just what I needed today)! I found 2 to fit perfectly on this project, "My life is so much better with you in it" and, "Smile." All of our lives are better because we've had a special teacher in them! I added a few crayons and fun buttons, then the post-it pad to finish the project!

I hope you're enjoying being here with us today. I have some VERY special blog candy for my 1,00 follower contest (photos will be posted here later today). I'll be giving out a set of 6 Powder Puff Chalk Inks from Quick Quotes for this Blog Hop Candy, so be sure to leave a comment here! Include the name of your FAVORITE TEACHER and why he/she was your favorite! As always, youll receive DOUBLE THE ENTRIES for posting my blog on yours (and/or your FB). If you have my blinkie you'll get FIVE! You're ready to hop along to Jess' Blog now! {{HUGS}}

  11. You've created a Fabulous teacher's gift!!
    My favorite teacher is Mrs. Beggs.She taught my sons in 5th grade and then again for Reading/Language Arts in 7th and 8th grade. I LOVE her because she has a passion for teaching. She has coached the Girls Softball team when they could not find a coach. She took the kids on cultural field trips and she also focused on Community Service.Mrs. Beggs will retire in a few years and she will certainly be missed.

  17. Cool gift for a teacher. I had a teacher that was my favorite his name was Mr. Larson I had him in both 4th grade and 6th grade. He used to play scatter ball, and werewolf and capture the flag with us on our recesses. He would teach using a ball ,throwing it from one person to another when doing our times tables, or when learning to count in Spanish. Cool teacher, my favorite, pretty cute too now that I think about it. lol

  19. Oh Brynn - I love this! such a sweet teacher gift! I have got to get that Positive Thoughts stamp set - love Kristal's new stamps :) i too will be singing that song for the rest of the day at least. My favorite teacher... i guess the first one that comes to mind was my 4th grade teacher, Mr. Barryessa (not sure if i am spelling it right - can't believe i forgot). He turned 25 the year I was in his class and his GF brought in 2 cakes of Ernie and Bert and we had a big party. He also brought in a TV during the World Series that year because his favorite team, the Dodgers, was in the series and they won (i have been a Dodgers fan ever since). The greatest thing about him is he is still teaching and he taught my niece and nephew for 6th grade some 30+ years later! Pretty amazing. Thanks for sharing this beautiful creation. i am going to try this.
