I am sharing with you one of my FAVORITE projects! This began as a class with my friend Melissa Kelly and then became THIS! Let me show you the details:
This is Page 1.
These are chipboard stars painted and sparkled then added silver paint pen around the edges, inter-mixed with ribbon and bling with Doodlebug paper.
I LOVE Doodlebug and their SWEET little embellishments. There's a touch of black here and there with the writing, and the star and bling theme is carried throughout.
This is Page 2! Happy Birthday America!
It was printed on vellum and then jazzed up!
Aren't the little tabs and tags just delightful?!
I added on just about ALL of the coordinating embellishments available! You know how I am, less is NOT more! ;)
Before you hop along, I must talk about the CANDY! For the blog hop, you'll be commenting to be eligible to win a SURPRISE gift package from me, valued at over $25 sure to include embellishments and stamps too! I come from a long line of military and I am so proud to be an American where I can worship freely, live freely, and raise my kids with freedoms that some children can't even dream of because they have grown up with explosions and fighting in their front yard since they were born. God BLESS America!!!

I really love this LO! Wow! My favorite 4th memory happened about 5 years ago when my best friend and I went to Ouray, CO (an awesome mountain town) to attend the 4th of July events and fireworks show. We got soaked by the fire truck, met some great guys, went to a fun party in the biggest truck we've ever seen and just had the best time of our lives! It was so fun. By far, one of the best times ever! We will never forget the events of that day. :0)

ReplyDeleteFor every year family and friendss my fthe locked to the local beach to watch the fireworks. Growing up I also loved the idea of picking which beach we would sit at. There were 3 beaches within 10-minutes of our home. Thats why we live in the OCEAN State... RI

Brynn,
ReplyDeleteThis is just lovely! I am so glad I hopped along here, I need some mojo to get going on some projects. I've been kinda down lately. I guess my favorite 4th was when we went to Mt. Vernon, it was really fun!

Ok Brynn... I LOVE THIS LAYOUT! Can i just have a list of everything you used in detail so i can recreate it? There is no way i can make something this beautiful without help! When my kids were little, they used to do these massive fireworks displays at the University of Utah which is really close to where my in-laws live. We would go up there and have dinner and then sit on the balcony and watch the fireworks. They live up on a hill above the university and the fireworks looked so close we could almost touch them! the kids thought they were the best thing since ice cream! We can still see the fireworks all the way down the Wasatch front from their balcony, but the U of U doesn't do them there anymore. And my kids are all teens now so they would rather go to Sugarhouse Park, ditch me and find their friends :)
ReplyDeletethanks for the amazing inspiration in this layout! Hugs!

ReplyDeleteGreat pages! I love how you did the title and little folders on page 2. The striped pp on page i is so cool! Very creative designs. My most favorite and memorable memory of July 4th is about my mom and extended family. My mom's bday is Dec 20 and my aunt's told us that growing up, my mom would complain that she had to share her bday with Christmas and both parents were born in Dec as well. One summer, my aunt's decided to throw a surprise Christmas in July bday party for my mom on July 4th. We completely decorated my aunt's house like it was Christmas (the artificial tree and trimmings, decorations throughout the house, my dad dressed as Santa with flip flops on... lol, the backyard and pool area were also decorated.) My aunt also found Christmas candy at the grocery store. We (aunts, uncles, cousins and my brother) all were wearing shorts, bathing suits, winter hats, scarfs and gloves. As my mom drove up to my aunt's house, we were all standing out front singing Christmas Carols...(even the neighbors joined in with us) She was so surprised and so excited. It was a great day! Thanks for letting me share my memory, sorry so long. http://kimmarieskorner.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteEverything looks awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteI just love this layout...so many new techniques! I have to say I just love watching the fireworks! I remember as a teenage girl one year someone accidently set off all the fireworks all at one time! It was amazing but too short of a show. We all waited to see what would happen next. Thanks for sharing your wonderful layout!

Love your layout. I cant remember my favorite layout but my most remembered one is when I was a teenager and we had a house at the beach, everyone in the community would get together and shot fireworks. well the wind was blowing and lets just say that a firework fell over and exploded in a golf cart! luckily no one was hurt but it is something I will never forget!

Love the excitement of your layout..something happening everywhere!!! As a kid, we didn't do fireworks (my mom was afraid we would lose fingers), but always went to the big displays. A blanket, pop (which was a special treat then!), and an ice cold watermelon on a hot Texas night..fabulous! I'm a new follower!
