SPRING FEVER BLOG HOP!

WELCOME to the SPRING FEVER Blog Hop! Do YOU have Spring Fever?! I KNOW I DO!

I played with my Cricut Expression today using Echo Park's 'Springtime' line that was just released. My pink bug was smokin' ladies! I knew I wanted to 'make a scene' and use photos from when we flew kites last Mother's Day. (Though I searched EVERYWHERE and cannot place said photos) GRRR! When indeed I do come across them in the future, however, I'M READY! There is a TON of cuts and detail involved, but all well worth it for the final result.

I wanted a large tree, and it IS that! LOL It's from the Cindy Loo cartridge, the title is from Country Life, the clouds are from Graphically Speaking and the kite is from Sugar and Spice! Thank you to Cricut Search for helping me get just what I wanted!









All of the cardstock is Bazzill (they're ALL I use) and it cut beautifully! Here's a close-up of the bottom right corner with the title box and paper ribbon banner.













OF COURSE it HAD to have buttons, no project is complete without them-ESPECIALLY a Springtime one!

I added detail to the cuts with some jazzy supplies. The clouds are covered in Sparkly Fluff to create a soft look and feel, but also a bit of sparkle. The hills are cut with Country life, as well as the teeny flowers scattered throughout.











I used Liquid Glass to coat the sun and give it a nice shine! Before doing so I added white accents with a gel pen-it's all about the detail!









Notice the watermark stamp?! It's from Sarah at Pink by Design. She's in this hop too and it is my hope to impress her so that she'll ask me to design for her!!!! It says, "You make me smile."







In this photo the gloss has yet to set. When it is finished it will be completely clear! You can get a better idea here of what Sparkly Fluff is all about.












This is my journaling box, hidden in the rolling hills at the bottom right of the page. The date and border stickers are from the EP line as well. Look at the cute roll of kite string there! It's from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge.









OOPS! Apparently I didn't straighten this one out (it's late)! LOL


This is the top right corner of the page, with another stamp from Pink by Design made into a ribbon banner and accented with the butterfly, cloud and kite.












And again, the finished result! Definitely fresh and spring-y!
